Static 2002R & BARR 2002R Live Webinar Training: Global Institute of Forensic Research
Sexual Recidivism risk assessments are increasingly required in behavioural health, correctional and Court settings. Two innovative instruments developed for the post-conviction evaluation of adult male sexual offenders are the Static-2002R and the Brief Assessment of Recidivism Risk (BARR-2002R). The Static-2002R uses commonly available criminal history information to predict sexual recidivism, whereas the BARR-2002R is composed of a subset of the Static-2002R items and is used to predict violent and general recidivism risk.

Static-99R Booster Training: Global Institute of Forensic Research
The Static-99R is the most commonly used and researched risk assessment tool for adult male sex offenders. The 2003 coding manual for the scale has been updated in 2016, with sufficient changes that the Static-99R Development Team recommends that anyone using the instrument obtain a booster training. The Static-99R Booster Training has been developed by Static-99R Development Team member, Dr. L. Maaike Helmus

Violent Thoughts: Dr Kelly Watt: Concept Professional Training
This webinar will focus on Violent Thoughts. This webinar will provide an in-depth discussion of violent thoughts, including an interest in or preoccupation with violence and a desire or willingness to use violence. Violent thoughts are often overlooked and minimized by professionals despite the fact that they are a primary warning sign for violence risk according to research, practice, and the law and consistent with guidelines for triaging and assessing risk for violence.
Although violent thoughts are a normal human experience, when they are recent and serious it is critical to evaluate these thoughts as a means of preventing possible escalation to actual, attempted or threatened violence. The THREATS acronym (Threats of Harm that are Realistic, Explicit, Acute, Targeted and Studied) will be reviewed as a useful structure that all professionals can put into practice when considering the significance of violent thoughts.
