Relationship and Sexuality Counsellor | Clinical Psychosexual Therapist | Clinical Sexologist

Background
Helena is a Clinical Sexologist with postgraduate qualifications in Sexology (Curtin University) and Counselling (University of Notre Dame).
She also has an extensive background as a specialist cancer and breast cancer nurse, which informs her work in sexual wellbeing following medical treatment.
She works collaboratively with GPs, specialists, and allied health professionals to support integrated care.

Supervision & Education
Helena is an Accredited Clinical Psychosexual Therapist and a Registered Clinical Supervisor with the Australian Counselling Association.
She provides supervision to clinicians working in sexuality and sexual functioning, and regularly delivers education and workshops for both community organisations and health professionals.

Helena is the Senior Consultant at inSync for life, specialising in relationships, sexuality, and intimacy.

She works with individuals and couples to address sexual and relationship concerns, and to enhance connection, intimacy, and overall sexual wellbeing across all life stages.

Her approach is practical and collaborative, supporting clients to better understand patterns, improve communication, and develop meaningful change.
She has completed Level 3 Gottman Relationship Counselling, focusing on strengthening relationships and reducing patterns that create disconnection.

Experience
Helena has worked across both private practice and medical settings, including:

• Specialist roles within hospital and oncology services
• Consultant roles in general practice and women’s health
• Ongoing work with not-for-profit organisations, including the Cancer Council of Western Australia

She also has extensive experience supporting individuals with intellectual disability in the areas of relationships and sexuality, working with both clients and their families.

Additional Information
Helena receives referrals through the Cancer Council of WA.
Clients who have experienced cancer may be eligible for funded counselling sessions.
