Mind–Body Counselling
When understanding isn’t enough, we gently include the body in the process. Sometimes you can understand your patterns clearly, yet still feel stuck.
You might notice tension that doesn’t ease, a sense of exhaustion, or emotional responses that feel stronger than expected. Even when things make sense logically, the body can continue to carry the impact. Mind–body counselling gently brings attention to this connection. Alongside talking, we slow things down and begin to notice what is happening in your body - your breath, areas of tension, or shifts that occur when something feels stressful or overwhelming. There is no pressure to 'get it right'. The focus is on curiosity, awareness, and allowing your body to be part of the process. Over time, this can help your system feel safer and more settled. Changes begin to occur not just at a thinking level, but in how you experience yourself day to day. Sessions are calm, respectful, and paced to suit you. The aim is to support a deeper sense of regulation, connection, and lasting change. |
Why Online Counselling works
|
Laura offers telehealth counselling, which she has found to be especially effective for mind–body work.
Many clients find that being in their own familiar space helps them feel more settled and less self-conscious. This makes it easier to speak openly, notice body responses, and engage in the counselling process at a natural pace. Telehealth also provides a helpful sense of space and safety, while still allowing you to feel supported and connected. |
Telehealth allows you to engage in counselling from your own space, often helping the body feel more settled and at ease.
This can reduce self-consciousness and make it easier to speak openly, while still feeling supported and guided. For mind–body work in particular, this often supports a more natural and grounded therapeutic process. |
