Click here to make an appointment to see Ciara How can DBT therapy assist you? DBT is an evidenced based treatment for Borderline Personality Disorder sufferers. However, DBT skills are also extremely useful for clients in assisting in the management of impulsive behaviours, mood changes, emotional dysregulation, anxiety, depression and urges to use substances, food, gambling etc. to avoid or get rid of uncomfortable or intense emotions. DBT gives clients concrete skills and strategies to manage disruptive emotional experiences. DBT has been found to be most effective when working in a group setting, in conjunction with individual counselling sessions and telephone contact. We are currently organising to commence a group early in the new year. If you would like to be part of this exciting development in Bunbury, or if you would like to have a telephone chat with Ciara, please use the contact form. You may also be eligible for a Medicare Rebate if you have a Mental Health Care Plan...discuss this with your Doctor, or see here for further information
