Personal Interests
Outside of her professional work, Lianne enjoys painting, woollen felting, travelling, cooking for friends, and spending time with family.
Lianne is a highly experienced Counsellor with a long background as a Psychologist in private practice, community counselling, trauma support, and medical-centre based mental health care.

After retiring from her previous practice as a Psychologist, Lianne now works with inSync for life as a registered Counsellor.  She supports adults experiencing a wide range of concerns, including trauma, anxiety, depression, family and domestic violence, sexual assault, grief, stress, and life adjustment difficulties.

Approach
Lianne takes a warm, client-centred, and flexible approach to counselling. She recognises that counselling is not a 'one size fits all' process, and works with clients in a way that respects their individual needs, preferences, and pace.
Her style is supportive, validating, and practical. She aims to help clients identify their strengths, make informed choices, and move toward greater emotional stability and wellbeing.

Lianne draws on a range of therapeutic approaches, including trauma-informed counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR, Thought Field Therapy, and creative approaches where appropriate. Her work is grounded in helping clients feel safe, understood, and supported throughout the counselling process.

Professional Background and Experience
Lianne has worked extensively across community, crisis, medical, and private practice settings. Her earlier roles included specialist work in sexual assault, sexual abuse, and family violence counselling, including support for clients navigating crisis, police involvement, Court processes, and compensation matters.

She has also worked in regional counselling services across Busselton, Dunsborough, Margaret River, Augusta, Bridgetown, Bunbury, and surrounding areas, and has provided counselling through GP referral pathways, Workers Compensation matters, and Employee Assistance Programme work.
Her extensive experience includes:
  • Long-term private practice counselling
  • Sexual assault and family violence counselling
  • Crisis response and trauma support
  • Medical-centre based counselling
  • Regional and outreach counselling services
  • EMDR and trauma-focused intervention
  • Workers Compensation and EAP counselling
