Carmel has lived and worked in the South West of Western Australia for more than 20 years and brings both professional and lived experience to her mediation practice. Before training as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner and Mediator, she owned and operated small businesses in the hospitality and retail industries while raising her four children.
This background has contributed to her strong skills in communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and working with people from diverse backgrounds. Carmel understands the pressures that can arise during parenting, relationship, and financial transitions, and supports individuals and families to manage difficult conversations respectfully and constructively.
Carmel is a Nationally Accredited Mediator, a Nationally Accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, registered with the Attorney-General’s Department, and a member of the Australian Mediation Association. She also undertakes ongoing professional development in conflict resolution, family and domestic violence, and trauma-informed practice.
